Ten Ways To Conquer 2018

Happy New Year from me to you! What is your favourite thing about the start of a new year? For me, it is the feeling of a fresh new start, the feeling that I can conquer anything. Silly and very cliche I know, but don’t judge a girl for embracing the feeling of a fresh start. I love setting goals and I love the feeling I get when I achieve them. Although I know a lot of people may find it silly to make new year resolutions I am hopping on the resolution train and have come up with 10 of my very own. I love the sense of community that goals give to people and being able to cheer each other on for bettering themselves is so fun. So in honor of the New Year, I have come up with 10 goals that I would like to achieve within the year.

My Ten Goals for 2018
| One | Plan Ahead

If you know me, you know I am definitely a planner person but lately, I have been slacking and I fell off planning while in school. It just made everything stressful, I was having to double and triple check a bunch of papers and try to remember important school dates, but I am not going to let that happen this semester! As soon as I get the syllabus I am writing it all down in my planner to stay on top of it!  That also means planning all my blog post too so that I am not scrambling for content at the last minute.

| Two | Stay Focused

Oh, procrastination you are such a bad friend of mine, always telling me to do something other than study. This is a goal that I should be able to do without a lot of hesitation, as long as I stay on top of all my flash cards, reading, and assignments It should be no problem. No leaving anything until the last minute for this girl.

| Three | Be Consistent
“Consistency is what transforms average into excellence”

Transform Entirely Taylor from average to excellent it exactly what I aim to do this year. You will be seeing more content, articles, stories, and even giveaways. I love the support I have right now and the community there is behind having a blog, but to be successful with it I need to be consistent with my posting even if that means posting something small. I aim to gain more regular viewers and make a name for me, so stay tuned. I have some wonderful ideas coming your way.

| Four | Eliminate Clutter

I have already started this one and we are only on day three of January! It is out with the old, and well, out with the old! That means going through all of my stuff and giving it away starting with the closet. I have so much that I don’t wear and it could be worn by someone in need instead of just hanging in my closet. Along with my closet are my makeup and skincare drawers they definitely need to be decluttered, so that is what I will be starting. Along with this comes not bringing new stuff into the house that I don’t need but want.

| Five | Reorganize My Planner

Just like decluttering areas of my house I will be doing the same to my planner. I will be revamping the way I use it to make it more enjoyable, easier to use, and more space conscious! I have bought some new stickers, washi tape, and all that jazz so it is time to make it pretty! Time for a practical nice layout and just an overall nicer layout.

| Six | Be Finance Wise

I am a believer in work hard play hard, but I tend to do all the hard work and don’t give myself nearly enough time for the play hard part. It is probably because I am in school so no matter how hard I work in school, it just doesn’t pay the bills. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy some down time right? Right! So with the help of keeping track of where my spending is going, it should make me and my bank account smile and give me room for play! I am thinking a good camping trip this summer!

| Seven | More We Time

This is a tough one during the school months because the we time that we do get I spend getting Jeremy to test me with my mountain of flashcards. Not only does he hate it, but it gets boring and old really quick! So with me staying on top of my planning, I am hoping that we can actually have some real us time with Lexi too. That means going on more little walks or skating and even a few date nights to the movies but it doesn’t have to be that fancy, we could even find a new recipe and make a cool new dinner together.

| Eight | Reduce My Waste

This one should not be hard at all seems how I am all about the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle but I do feel I should step up my game a little by bring a togo cup with my so that I am not throwing them away. I may even count the coffees and tea I get just to see how many I don’t use in a year. This also means I will not be using as many produce bags and all of my goods will be coming from the bulk section when they can!

| Nine | Stay Hydrated

I pride myself on being very on top of my water consumption, but, with the chilly weather and blowing snow I find that I am reaching for a cup of hot coffee or tea more than a crisp cup of water. Although those drinks warm me up they don’t quench my bodies thirst so with the help of my friends, mint, lime, and cucumber I will be reaching for my water much more than my regular cup of tea or coffee.

| Ten | Try Something New

I am most excited for this goal, I have yet to come up with what I will be learning this year but I know it will be good. It may sound silly but looking back on last year I didn’t learn much that I was happy to learn and was as enjoyable as a hobby. Right now my ideas and yoga, running ( I used to run and loved it), photography or even clean eating or vegetarian dished. Maybe I will learn a little about all of these?!

What is something you want to do in 2018?

Stop. Drop. 2017 Rewind!

“Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters”

Goodbye, two thousand seventeen! Hello, Two Thousand Eighteen! I am so excited for the new year because that means it is time to reflect on all the beautiful memories I made in the year past and I get to share them all with you. Don’t worry I will keep them short and sweet. So what are you waiting for? Take a stroll through each month of my 2017 rewind. And don’t forget to let me know what your favorite moment was in the comments below!

January, that marked six months of living in Kelowna and I was beginning to get used to it, love it, and enjoy all the people I had met in school so far. This month also marked the completion of semester one. I would say it was easy but that would be a lie! It was full of stress, papers, and deadlines but I made it through without being defeated.

This month was slow, it was valentines day and we celebrated by staying in, making dinner and spending time with each other! I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. And we also picked up my new dirt bike!!

I was still in school and counting down the last days for this month so not much was happening but my little brother did celebrate his birthday this month!!

This month had an amazing experience that I will not forget! So what made April so special? Well, I started my first nanny job! That is right I became a full-time nanny for a wonderful family of four children, two boys, and two girls. Two had school so I spent my days with the little ones making crafts, playing outside, swinging for hours, and baking yummy treats.

I got to visit my bestie for the day to celebrate her 20th birthday and I even put together a wonderful surprise for her. It was by far the highlight of my month, we shopped, have a delicious lunch, and I put a smile on her face with the present I got her. I spelled her name out with the gifts I got her and even wrote a riddle so she would have to guess what it was.

This month was both happy and sad! One the sad note I had to say goodbye to my first vehicle my beloved red 2003 jeep tj. I may have said goodbye to my beloved Rubi but I will never say goodbye to adventures I went on with it, from mudding to cruising with the top off. On the brighter side, I upgraded to a pearly white 2014 Jeep Patriot. Once a Jeep Girl always a Jeep Girl right?! And on the bonus of buying my new Jeep, I won a year service package from the dealership too!

This month was jam-packed full of wonderful memories! To start it off Jeremy and I went on an amazing trip back to our hometown to visit with family, friends, and best of all attend a beautiful wedding. Next was our two-year anniversary and all I can say is breathtaking! I was swept off my feet to Quails Gate Winery for an amazing dinner. Next Jeremy and I celebrated our birthdays, ill keep the ages a secret though. Last and finally! I launched this blog, my blog and I am so happy I did.

This was the last month before school started again and it was definitely filled to the top with work, blogging, and fun. I started my second nanny job, taking care of two amazing bright-eyed and fun little girls. They always had me on my toes, laughing and smiling! Innetween all the nannying and serving Jeremy and I also go to take a day trip and ride the Kettle Valley Rail, it was a great way to end the summer.

Hello second year!! And Hello engagement! This month was by far the best month of my life! I got to say yes to the love of my life and I am looking forward to our big day. The proposal was everything and more, it was entirely how I could have even imagined it, a beautiful hike with the surprise of a lifetime!

After last month how could life get any better is what I thought. And it did! Jeremy and I had a wonderful visit from his parents and we got the news that we are going to become Aunt and Uncle!!

This marked study month! it was all about paper after paper and ten finals! But I am happy that it all worked out in the end and I am very happy with my grades.

Semester one of year two was finally done! And to finish it off I got to bring home my new baby hedgehog, little Piper! She is so cute and very friendly, I love everything thing about her.

Thanks for reading! And stay tuned for the new posts coming soon. 2018 has many things in store for Entirely Taylor and I am excited to share it all with you! Happy New Year!

Arbonne Package | A Beauty Review |

| My Personalized Sample Kit |

I have been looking to find a new line of beauty products to ramp up my makeup collection and my morning and night face wash routine. There is nothing wrong with the one I use now and I do love it dearly but it is an acne face wash by Clinique and I am looking one that combats more than just that. I did lots of research and am still in the process of doing so but for right now I am trying some products from Arbonne thanks to Lindsey Mann an Arbonne consultant. I got in touch with her through Facebook and told her about my wants and needs in the products I was looking for and she sent me a lovely personalized sample package. It was everything I was looking for and more, so if you are thinking of trying some new products but want to be sure you like them before you purchase them give Lindsey a message or email and she will fill all your needs. My new product go to had to be meet my needs and wants, I wanted the product to be free of harsh chemicals and not irritate my sensitive skin, not take a long time to apply or have complicated instructions and most of all make me happy to be using it. And so far Arbonne meets all my needs. So let’s take a look at what I received in my Arbonne Sample Package!

Calm 4-Step Set For Sensitive Skin |

Arbonne’s Calm skincare line is for sensitive it hydrates, reduces discomfort and soothes the skin. It has four steps which make for a little bit longer face wash than I am used to but, it is well worth it. You start with the daily cleanser, it is a clear jell you apply to your face and wash in circular motions. I like that this daily cleanser is not foam because I feel you can get more out of the product that way. After you have washed your face you move onto the Soothing Face Serum applying a pea size amount all over your face. This serum tightens pores and makes your face feel refreshed. After the serum, it is time to moisturize using the Gentle Daily Moisturizer then apply the Soothing Eye Gel. The Daily Moisturizer and Soothing Eyes Gel are wonderful and moisturize so well, they are not greasy and leave your face feeling fresh and ready for the day! I highly recommend this product if you have sensitive skin, after washing and using all four steps I didn’t have any redness or tenderness at all. It left me feeling clean, soothed and happy!

Energy Fizz Sticks |

Where do I start with these other than saying I really like them. The Energy Fizz Sticks are a great way to kick-start your morning or afternoon. They are made with a botanical blend of green tea, guarana and ginseng combined with B vitamins and chromium to support energy. As well they have less than 1 gram of sugar and come in two flavours Pomegranate and Citrus. Just add the little package to 8 oz of water and watch as it fizzes and transforms your everyday water into a vitamin energy packed thirst quencher. I tried both flavours and have to say that the Citrus was my favourite, it has a clean fresh lemon-lime taste and is even better if you add some fresh lemons and limes of your own. I found the Pomegranate one to be a little fake tasting and it just didn’t have that fresh Pomegranate taste like I was hoping for and left a bad aftertaste. Maybe it is just my taste buds. Although I do highly recommend Citrus Fizz Stick, it has an energy kick and can get you through your slouching afternoons.

It’s A Long Story Mascara |

Can we take a moment to admire the name, it is perfect and makes me think of a girl and her best friend laughing away about a story one of them told the other about some juicy gossip. It is perfect! After all, Mascara is a girl’s second best- friend and a makeup bag staple. Am I right or am I right? Having a good go-to mascara is a must, and if you need a new go-to Arbonne ‘It’s A Long Story Mascara’ has you covered. This Mascara will add that much-wanted photo shoot length for an ultra-dramatic and eye-accentuating look to any makeover. As well it is water resistant making it stand up to a few happy tears and that summer dewy face not to mention it makes for an easy wash off without having to use special water-proof makeup remover too. I really loved this Mascara, however, I wish it came in more than just black because I like to use a dark drown apposed to black because I just feel it looks better on me but I still love it none-the-less.

-Meet the Mascara-

Protein Shake Mix – Vanilla |

I tried this vegan Protein Shake Mix in vanilla and overall the taste is good, it is smooth, creamy, and has a great vanilla flavour. I have tried a few different vegan and vegetarian protein shakes before because normal protein shakes give me a stomach ache and I don’t like the taste or texture of them. Right now my go-to protein shake mix is by Vega-one and it is almost time to replace it and Arbonne may take its place. You can drink the Arbonne mix with water or your vegan, vegetarian milk or for an even better taste add it to your smoothies. This is my go-to form of protein shake is smoothied with a banana, blueberries, spinach, ice and almond milk. Delish! I really enjoyed this protein powder and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a vegan, vegetarian option.

-Meet the Protein Powder-

Overall I am very happy to have received the samples I have and I am excited to be purchasing some new things to add to my makeup and skincare routine. As well every purchase helps out a fellow friend Lindsey. If you want to purchase some of these products or try some out get in touch with Lindsey here and learn a little more about her below so you know just who you are helping. As well take a peek at some of her favourite products and who knows maybe they will become your favourite too!

| A Little Bit About Lindsey |

My name is Lindsay Mann, I am 21 years old and I live in Nevada. I am currently a full-time college student, and happily married to my high school sweetheart, Cody!.I am an Independent Consultant with Arbonne, and I have been with the company since January. Before Arbonne, I was working at a daycare taking care of little kiddos all day until I fell and broke my elbow! I was put on work restrictions and couldn’t lift more than 5 pounds and due to that, I was left unemployed. It was really hard for me to find a job that worked with my school schedule and my physical therapy schedule. Then one day in January my mother in law invited me to an Arbonne party that she was hosting and I fell in LOVE! I loved the company and what it stood for. I loved their ingredients policy, their products, and I loved the people I met. So I decided to start my own Arbonne business later that week and I have been happy and blessed ever since. At the start, my vision was small, just get a job but now I have been lucky enough to be promoted to District Manager. Overall, I encourage everyone to follow what they love and what feels right for them. Arbonne is a job that you can fit it into your current schedule, and still live the life you want! So if you guys have any questions please feel free to connect me, my facebook page is or email me at

The 2017 Liebster Award

This past month has been such a wonderful, inspiring and rewarding month. Not only did I celebrate turning 20 but I also introduced my blog to the world. And now one month in, I have been given the opportunity to be nominated for the 2017 Liebster Award. And I couldn’t be more happy to say yes and accept!

I was nominated by the sweet and lovely Megan O’keeffe the owner and writer of Debateable Dateable a blog about everything dating! She writes about dating advice, stories and theories about the modern dating world too. But Megan does not stop there, she is also an avid poet who produces lovely new pieces at an amazing rate. Her poetry is sweet and focuses on relationships as well, so whether you are in a good one or a bad one or no relationship at all you can relate. You can find my favorite poem “Modern Romeo” here, it speaks so much truth in how relationships are in the twenty-first century and also so adequately describes the female mentality when chasing a false love. Without a doubt, you need to check out her blog and see just how wonderful it is.

| About the Liebster Award |

For everyone who doesn’t know what the Liebster Award is, here are the rules and a little bit about it. The Liebster Award is an award that is given to bloggers by bloggers to help new blogs grow and connect with others in the blogging world. It started off with nominations of blogs with less than 2000 readers and as the award’s popularity grew the max reader’s cap has become lower and lower. And is now for blogs of 200 readers and less.

| The Rules |

  1. Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”.
  2. Write a 150-300 word post on your favourite blog that is not your own. Explain why you like the blog, provide links.
  3. Answer your questions and provide 10 random facts about yourself.
  4. Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have less than 200 followers and ask them your own questions. (Don’t forget to inform the people/blogs you nominated about it.)
  5. List these rules in your post

| Everything Meli  –  My Favorite Blog Right Now |

Narrow it down to one favourite blog? That is difficult! I truly love all the blogs that I read but if I had to choose one it would be Everything Meli. Everything Meli is a lifestyle blog written and owned by twenty-year-old Melani. I stumbled upon her blog a few months ago, like six month months ago really and I was instantly hooked. With each post I wanted to keep reading more and that is what I have done. I can honestly say that I have read pretty much every post and will continue to do so. Her blog is adorably cute and fun but still elegant! Melani writes about everything from beauty, to fashion and just her everyday life in general, taking trips and just being Meli. Something I love about her blog is the tone and voice she writes in, it is not just average, it has a ring of happiness without over doing it, it sounds honest and trustworthy and doesn’t make you think her life is only sunshine and roses! One other reason why I like Everything Meli so much is that it is relatable, I grew up in a small town just like her, the same one actually, and after reading her “10 Thing You Probably Don’t Know About Me!” post I found out we are pretty much the same age. Her writing is inspiring to me and exciting too because I can see how much she has grown in just a year and it only makes me hope I can too. If you are looking for a new blog to read go check Melani’s out and you won’t be disappointed!

| Five Questions For Me |

1.How did you get into Poetry?

This is a hard one! I started writing poetry so long ago now, but if I really think hard I would have to say that I really got into poetry when I was in grade twelve. I had been writing in journals and just anywhere for a long time but in grade twelve I had a teacher who wrote poetry and when he shared it with the class I was inspired to really write my own. To push myself outside the box by trying different types of poetry from sonnets to haikus and even a slam poem. In the second semester I was so in love with writing and the creativity it held that I took a creative writing class. This passion I had and have for writing and poetry has stayed with me and even now in college I am taking an English Major and filling my time table with extra creative writing classes.

2. What’s your writing process like for the blog?

Can you say scattered and old fashioned? Just kidding! My writing process for my blog is not that bad, I keep everything pretty organized with the help of my Handy Dandy Notebook. To start the whole writing process I pick a topic. Most come to mind from day-to-day life, just in the things I do to big topics that I see, like stress, self-care, and organization. Then when I am ready and have a topic picked out I pull out my notebook and start writing away. Now, don’t get me wrong it doesn’t always flow like a stream, smooth and calm. No, no, no, it usually flows like a river, too many points all rushing through my mind at once, too fast to write down all of them at once. But I make do, and in the end, it comes out just the way I like it…. Oh and never forget to re-read again and again, this is one thing I do always and maybe a little too much too.

3. What’s your favorite poem that you wrote?

The all time favorite poem that I have written so far is North of Suburbia. It is a poem I wrote about my home town after I had moved away. I was reflecting on the differences between the small community and neighborhood I lived in compared to the big city that I live in now. Although I miss the feeling and quaintness of my small town, the big city does have many aspects that I love and wouldn’t trade. For now, I call it home but I can’t wait for the day I can call my hometown home again.

4. What/Who inspires you?

What: inspires me would have to be nature through and through. All the little things nature has to offer from sounds to smells and especially its beauty. I find it in everything from the grape tendrils twist around the limbs of anything in their way or the way leaves rustle like paper bags in the breeze or in the way on-coming rain smells sweet and salty. Nature is where I get my inspiration to write, my down time to escape out of my mind and relax.

Who: inspires me is all of you! Every single reader that comes to read my blog. You inspire me to keep writing and posting. And every comment, like, share, and follow pushes me to improve my writing and post even more. Without all of you lovely readers, I would not be here.

5. How do you picture yourself in 5 years?

Oh my, five years. That is a very long time, 59 months, 825 days, and 43800 hours to be exact and so much can change in that time. But, if I look at the big, big picture this is where I see myself. I see myself at 25, Arts Degree and Education Degree hanging framed on my hallway wall. School all done and out of the way. I see myself working in my first elementary classroom, using all that school has taught me. I see my left hand sparkling with love. I see Lexi and a second puppy playing ball in the yard as Jeremy and I entertain friends over for a backyard BBQ at our cute little home. I see Entirely Taylor growing into a big beautiful blog and inspiring others. I see my life blossoming into everything I want it to be and more!

This little survival kit is super easy and cheap to put together, I’m sure most of it, you have around your house or in your purse right now. This kit is very versatile, it can be changed easily and doesn’t have to just be for the college backpack, it works wonders when tucked into your purse as well!  Plus if you are missing a few little things it’s the perfect excuse to do a little shopping. Hello Twenty and Hello World

Welcome to Entirely Taylor!

I am new to the blogging world and really the whole social and online community in general but I am excited to share my journey with you. While reading other blogs about the “How to’s” of staring your own blog and writing your first post I noticed a few things. They all say the same thing; be creative, excite the reader and, your first impression is the most important. At first that scared me, it made me want to turn around and scratch out all the “First Post” ideas I had scribbled into my notebook. But I took a breath, a break and thought to myself, ‘this is something you have wanted to do for a while now. So, What are you waiting for, Just do it!’ And after that little pep speech I gave myself a new idea came to mind and in that moment I knew that is what I would write about. So here it is…

Twenty facts about me to introduce myself  to you, all in honor of my Twentieth birthday.

  1. My all time favorite season is Autumn. I adore everything about it, the colours, spices, holidays and weather.
  2. My favorite colour is any of them from red to pink, with light blush pink being my most favourite.
  3. I am a coffee and tea addict. Hot or cold I’ll drink it, but no sugar or cream please.
